Gamble With Your Friends Mystery Box Odds & Loot Table

Mystery Box spends Tickets for one pull from a fixed 16-entry weighted pool. You do not choose the reward, so this page answers the buying question with exact odds: what each drop costs to buy directly, how many boxes a target takes on average, and when the box is the wrong tool.

Quick answer

Mystery Box costs 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 Tickets across Floors 1–4 and rolls one reward from a fixed 16-entry weighted pool.

Quota Gun is the most likely single reward at 11.811%. Maxwell and Ratto are tied for rarest at 0.7874% each.

Buy the box when you can use several possible rewards. Buy the named item directly when your run needs one specific effect.

Should I buy a Mystery Box?

The box is a value purchase, not a targeting tool. Pick what you actually need.

What do you actually need?

Any useful item

Reasonable.

About 82.68% of pulls are ordinary gameplay items and another 15.75% are upgrades, so most boxes are not empty. If almost any result improves the run, the weighted average value sits above the box price on every floor.

The box has favourable broad value but poor targeting efficiency. Those two facts are both true.

Chance is weight ÷ total weight, computed from the same pool the game rolls from. Direct price is what the same reward costs in the shop on that floor; the rare pets have no shop listing.

Maxwell and Ratto carry an internal price of 0 Tickets, but they have no normal shop listing. Their direct-buy column shows a dash, not a free item.

What does Maxwell do?

Is Mystery Box worth it?

Weigh each reward’s listed direct-buy price by its chance. That gives the box’s nominal Ticket value on each floor.

FloorBox costExpected direct-buy equivalent
14 ≈5.16
26 ≈7.83
38 ≈10.51
410 ≈13.19
Nominal Ticket value, not profit. The box does not refund Tickets. The figure is the weighted average of what the rewards would cost to buy from the shop. It does not mean every box earns the difference, and it says nothing about whether you wanted the item.

Chance the reward’s listed price beats the box price

366.93%15.75%17.32%
466.93%15.75%17.32%

The split is the same on every floor because reward prices scale with the box price. Floor 1: equal-price rewards are Golden Chip and Taser.

The “price below box” group includes Maxwell and Ratto because their internal price is 0. A direct-price comparison undervalues rare cosmetics, so this is not a “chance to profit”.

Box vs buying the item directly

Expected boxes is 1 ÷ chance. Expected box spend multiplies that by the box price on the selected floor. It is a statistic, not a bill.

TargetPer-box oddsExpected boxesExpected box spend

Camera7.874%12.7≈50.8
Golden Chip7.874%12.7≈50.8
Maxwell0.7874%127≈508

These are statistical expectations, not guarantees, and every failed attempt still gives another reward.

Should I use a Mystery Box to get Taser?

No if Taser itself is the objective. Taser is 7.874% per box, about 12.7 boxes on average, while the shop sells it directly from 4 Tickets. Buy Taser.

What about Quota Gun?

Quota Gun is the heaviest single entry at 11.811%, but that is still about 8.5 boxes on average and an 11.8% roll is not a dependable way to finish a quota. Buy Quota Gun when the quota is the goal.

Buy the box for a flexible reward, not for one specific effect.

How to plan Ticket spending across a run

Maxwell and Ratto

The two rare pets are the rarest rows in the pool.

ItemWeightChance per box
Maxwell0.20.7874%
Ratto0.20.7874%

“1 in 127” is the average, not a ceiling. 127 boxes only reaches about 63% for a single target, and the two pets are independent, so a box can roll only one of them.

Does Stakeholder improve Mystery Box odds?

No verified effect.

The weighted selection reads only the 16 entries, their weights and the total weight. Stakeholder is not part of that calculation, so it cannot make any reward more likely.

Stakeholder can still matter after the pull: if the reward is an item Stakeholder scales — such as a longer Cross or a larger Golden Chip wager — it affects that reward later. It does not improve the chance of pulling it.

Can you force or reroll a drop?

You cannot choose a reward, and reload behaviour is not verified here.

The weighted loot pool is verified: one roll over 16 serialized entries. Whether reloading a specific saved state reliably rerolls the Mystery Box is not currently verified on this page. Do not treat a remembered outcome as a guaranteed reroll.

Mystery Box FAQ

What can you get from a Mystery Box?

One reward from a fixed 16-entry weighted pool: Quota Gun, nine standard gameplay items, four upgrades and the two rare pets Maxwell and Ratto. The full loot table is on this page.

What are the Mystery Box odds?

Quota Gun 11.811%, each standard weight-2 item 7.874%, each upgrade 3.937%, and Maxwell or Ratto 0.7874% each. Chance is weight divided by the 25.4 total weight.

Is Mystery Box worth buying?

It has favourable broad value but poor targeting efficiency. Buy it when several possible rewards are useful, and buy the named item directly when you need one specific effect.

What is the rarest Mystery Box drop?

Maxwell and Ratto are tied as the rarest drops, both at weight 0.2 and about 0.7874% per box.

What is the most common Mystery Box drop?

Quota Gun, at weight 3 and 11.811% per box. It is the only entry with weight 3.

What is the chance of getting Maxwell?

≈0.7874% per box, roughly 1 in 127 on average.

What is the chance of getting Ratto?

≈0.7874% per box, the same as Maxwell. The two share the lightest weight in the pool.

How many Mystery Boxes does it take to get Maxwell?

On average about 127, but that is not a guarantee: 127 boxes only reach roughly 63% for at least one Maxwell, and 100 boxes about 54.7%.

Can Mystery Box give Quota Gun?

Yes, and Quota Gun is the most likely single reward at 11.811%. If finishing the quota is the goal, buying Quota Gun directly is still more reliable.

Can Mystery Box give upgrades?

Yes. Each upgrade is 3.937%, and any upgrade combined is 15.75%. A specific upgrade is roughly one in 25 boxes.

Does Stakeholder improve Mystery Box odds?

No. The weighted selection does not read Stakeholder, so it cannot make any reward more likely. It can still affect some rewards after you pull them.

Can you get another Mystery Box from a Mystery Box?

No. The 16-entry pool does not include Mystery Box, Bat or Cosmetic Capsule. Only the serialized entries listed on this page can drop.

Can you force a specific Mystery Box drop?

No. The pull is weighted, so a higher weight raises the chance but you never choose the reward.

Does reloading reroll the Mystery Box?

Not verified on this page. The weighted pool is confirmed, but whether reloading a saved state reliably rerolls the box is still open. See the Saves and RNG guide.

Is it better to buy Taser or a Mystery Box?

If you need Taser, buy Taser. It is 7.874% per box — about 12.7 boxes on average — while the shop sells it directly from 4 Tickets.

Does Mystery Box get more expensive on later floors?

Yes. The box costs 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 Tickets across Floors 1–4. Reward values scale with it, so the expected direct-buy equivalent rises too.
