An item produces one effect or action: a free wager, a higher Max Bet, a quota shot, a rewind.
An upgrade stays with you and changes a standing rule, or the effect of another item.
Stakeholder multiplies only some of those effects. Quota Gun and Time Machine do not scale.

Every item is a bad buy in the wrong situation.
Don't buy when
You need one named effect. The pull is weighted random and cannot be chosen.
Don't buy when
You are playing solo. The Camera only captures another player.
Don't buy when
You are already safely ahead and want long-term economic value instead.
Don't buy when
You have no useful high-value wager planned for that table.
Don't buy when
Raising Max Bet does not change the next play you intend to make.
Don't buy when
The only items you plan to use are Quota Gun and Time Machine.
The hub covers the decision. These pages cover one item end to end.
The path depends on which item interactions you actually intend to use. Stakeholder is weaker if you are not using an item it scales.
MoreUpgrades and PersistentUpgrades change shop entries and upgrade lifetimes. Modded upgrades can behave differently from the vanilla data below.
The verified data does not include the pickup path after a purchase. This guide does not guess a shop, elevator, or NPC route.
Only some items. Check the item page, or the Stakeholder matrix, before you buy it for that interaction.
It can. Cross can stop a fully refunded result from counting as a loss. Time Machine can remove the result that finished a challenge. Taser changes which max-bet lines you can reach. A profit buff such as Gambler's Confidence can push an exact payout-ratio challenge off its target.
There is no single best buy. It depends on the floor, your Tickets, the quota gap, and whether you are already using Taser, Stakeholder, or Insurance. Taser then Golden Chip is the money order on a table you already want to play. Quota Gun is the closer when you only need the remaining quota.
If you already have a strong game, buy Taser, then save for Golden Chip. If you are short of quota and do not want another casino round, buy Quota Gun. If you keep dying to a single loss, Insurance is the safer first upgrade.
No. Taser raises the betting limit. It does not improve the underlying win probability or payout multiplier.
It does not charge the initial wager. The free bet size follows the table’s current Max Bet, which is why Taser should be used first.
No. Each valid shot is capped at the amount you still need, so it cannot push you above the quota through its own payout.
It scales selected item effects such as Golden Chip’s free wager, Taser’s Max Bet increase, reel recoveries, Drink, Microphone charge, Camera bank, and Cross duration.
No. Quota Gun and Time Machine do not scale with Stakeholder.
Each extra stack protects part of the remaining loss after previous protection. The first stack is 25%; later stacks add less than another flat 25 points.
Yes when you can accept a random item. Avoid it when your plan needs one specific effect, such as Taser or Quota Gun.
It can. It rolls back recent casino results as well as time, so a result that just completed a challenge may disappear.
An item produces one effect or action, and an upgrade stays with you and changes a standing rule or another item. Golden Chip is an item; Stakeholder, Insurance, Gambler’s Confidence and Bonus Draw are upgrades.
On Floor 2 the 6-Ticket buys are Golden Chip, Taser and Mystery Box. Camera, Microphone, Time Machine and Stakeholder cost 9 there, so they are the next save target.
On Floor 2, 10 Tickets covers every item up to Golden Chip, Taser and Mystery Box at 6, Drink and Quota Gun at 8, and Camera, Microphone, Time Machine, Stakeholder, Cross, Insurance and Gambler’s Confidence at 9 or 10. Bonus Draw at 10 is the last one you can add.
Every buyable item does. Most rise by 2 or 3 Tickets per floor, and Cross rises by 4. Check the price-by-floor table for the exact number.
It is 1.0 + 0.5 × purchases. One purchase gives ×1.5, two give ×2.0, three give ×2.5.
Each purchase adds 10 percentage points to the chance of gaining 1 Ticket on a profitable result: 10%, then 20%, then 30%. It is a chance, not a guaranteed Ticket.
Taser first on a table you already want to play, because Golden Chip reads the Max Bet that is on the table. If you do not own Taser yet, its free wager is smaller.
Yes. Stakeholder scales the captured profit before it is banked, so each purchase makes the eventual cash-out larger.
No. Maxwell has no direct shop listing. The verified source is the Mystery Box, at roughly 0.79% per box.
The asset and internal data name is Coordinator. Camera is the player-facing name used throughout this guide, so both refer to the same item.
Camera and Bat are the multiplayer-oriented picks, and the shared bank makes Stakeholder and Cross more useful in a group run.
