Multiplayer Help

Co-op issues in this game are usually connection-level rather than save corruption. Work through these in order; the early steps resolve most reports.

Try these in order

  1. 1Confirm you are both on the same buildA version mismatch is the most common cause of a join that fails immediately. Let Steam finish updating on both machines and restart the game.
  2. 2Have the host restart the lobbyIf joining drops you back to the main menu, the existing lobby session is usually stale. The host should return to the menu and create a fresh lobby.
  3. 3Verify game filesUse Steam’s file verification on both machines. A partial update on either side can break the session handshake.
  4. 4Check the network pathRestart the router, disable VPNs, and try without any network filtering. Connection-quality problems tend to show up as reconnect loops rather than clean errors.
  5. 5Rejoin instead of reconnecting mid-dayIf a player drops during a casino day, having them rejoin from the lobby is more reliable than repeatedly attempting to reconnect.

Still broken?

Multiplayer fixes have shipped in several updates, so report a reproducible case with your build number rather than working around it. Check the update notes first in case your issue is already fixed.
